About the event
We couldn't be happier to host one of the most activist Portuguese duo at LAB. Taking a traditional song like Fado and using an electric guitar instead of a traditional 12-string fado guitar, Lila and Caçador rewrite the lyrics of famous songs to talk about social issues, from colonialism to descrimination, since 2017. As trans/gays artists, they want this project to tell the stories of LGBTQIA+ people – confront and adress homophobia and racism in Portugal and in London too!
Night finishing with a DJ set by TONGUES a project that has already proved at this house, they can get everyone dancing all night long.
All ticket holders for this event are also invited to return to LAB on Sunday for a special screening of short films from Writer Director David Bonneville, celebrating 20 years of his contribution to European and queer Portuguese cinema.
We can't wait!
